Now I'm running out of superlatives.

Here's a lovely book for those of you, who like childrens' rooms or have otherwise a creative way of living.
A book you have to come back again and again.
Rum för Kidsen by Isabelle McAllister ja Jenny Brandt just happens to be super mega lovely-cool!

Mä sitten rakastan just tällaista tyyliä.

McAllister ja Brandt korostavat, että lapset saavat olla lapsia. Lastenhuoneiden ei tarvitse olla uusia, hienoja, valkoisia tai kalliisti aikuisten maun mukaan sisustettuja. Niissä saa näkyä elämisen jälki. Niissä saa leikkiä, kiipeillä, askarrella, rakentaa majoja, elää luovasti.

Kirja on ihan superinspiroiva!
McAllister ja Brandt kannattavat kierrätystä. Luovasta hulluudesta huolimatta vinkkejä tulee myös vaikkapa erilaisiin säilytys- ja valaistusratkaisuihin tai vaikka eri värisävyjen valitsemiseen.

Asua voi ahtaastikin. Läksyt voi tehdä keittiön pöydän ääressä. Tärkeintä on, että viihtyy ja voi toteuttaa itseään.

Mähän olen surkea remontoija, joka juuri ja juuri saa naulan iskettyä kipsilevyseinään, mutta nyt kyllä iski superinspis! Luovasti laittamaan!

I just love this kind of style!

McAllister and Brandt emphasize, that kids have the right to be kids. Correspondingly, childrens' rooms don't have to be brand new, white or expensively decorated, to adults' taste. At best they are rooms in which you can see the signs of living. Rooms in which you are allowed to play, climb, do crafts, build huts, live creatively.

The book is super-inspiring!
McAllister and Brandt are pro-recycling. hand in hand with crazy creativitiy you also get tips for e.g. how to storage toys, plan lighting or choose different shades of paint.

You don't have to have lots of space to live. You can do your honmework at the kitchen table. The most important thing is, that you feel well and can express yourself.

I'm a lousy renovator, who can barely manage to put a nail into a wall, but now I got super-inspired!
Off I go and start to do something, with a creative spirit!
